Pristine Auto Spa was a gracious host! Co-Owners Tanner Blais and Lloyd Stephen and Store Manager Michael Allender were all present to meet and greet Central Indiana FCA members. We started with coffee and pastries, then walked through their spotless shop to see their facility first hand. There were four Ferraris there. The first one had a yellow wrap that looked unbelievable! This is a great way to change your paint color less expensively than painting and- if you grow tired of it, take it off and return to the original color. We then looked at a 488 that had been window tinted to match the black top. It looked like it came that way from the factory. We next walked to the detailing area and were surprised to learn how inexpensive this is at ~$75 and that it can be completed in 1/2 hour. Furthermore, we learned about dry-ice blasting as the best way to remove built in grime from older cars engines or undersides without damage to the metal. They are the only commercial operation doing this in the city. Finally, we proceeded to the application area for Paint Protection Film. We were surprised at the thickness of the material and how transparent it was on the car. We each had firsthand experience applying this to a Porsche GT3 and found installation was harder than it looked, especially around door handles, emblems, etc. Each area of the car is printed through their computer mapping program, then laser cut, for a perfect fit.
As we were about to leave, we were given Yeti tumblers with the Ferrari Club of America emblem embossed into the cover of the tumbler and a Pristine Auto Spa ball cap! If you decide to do something to your Ferrari, be sure and look them up.
