Eleven FCA members and guests gathered in the Farm Bureau Patio Lounge at 8:30 Saturday morning for a great day checking outh the 2800 cars for sale at one of the largest car auctions in the country. We met Mecum Marketing VP David Morton, who provided coffee and donuts whille he gave us a “lay of the land”. We started in the main building where many of the best of the auction were featured. There were Ferraris, Ford Cobras, McLarens, Ford GTs, you name it! We visited three huge buildings full of cars, than moved to the auction area. After the US National Anthem, we heard Mecum’s National Anthem which got everyone excited. There goal is enthusiasm and having fun! All bidding credentials were provide free of charge to FCA members ($250 value). FCA member Jason Sharkey had the bad luck of hitting a pothole in his 348 Ferrari Spider on the way down which created engine issues.
