The Southern Indiana Drive was the best ever! We had eleven cars show up at the BP at the intersection of the Bargersville, IN Exit and I-69. The weather forecast was a little iffy, but we lucked out, with sunny skies and pleasant temperatures. We left in a caravan, traveling South on I-69 to just past Martinsville. From there, we drove down Old State Rd 37 in a beautiful canopy of trees. We then traveled on Fish Rd, where there was a 1-2 mile stretch of newly tarred road patches that no one liked! Then traveling East past Lake Lemon to Helmsburg, then Nashville, and finally the Story Inn. There we all took a break to relax for a few minutes and check out the old Story Inn.

The last leg of the trip was not quite what I had planned. I was having issues with the Ride with GPS software and missed a couple of turns. So the 103-mile drive turned into 123 miles. Oh, well!! IN-135 is beautiful, especially from Nashville to Story and then on further South. Turning East before Freetown, we hit IN- 58 back to IN- 46, then North to Nineveh. The drive ended at Grillerz in Nineveh, where 18 of us enjoyed a nice lunch and a cool drink. It was a memorable day with a great group of fellow FCA members.
